In 2009, Michael ‘Mick’ and Lynda Bethel started the unique tourist attraction TEXAS LONGHORN WAGON TOURS & SAFARIS on their 1100 acre property Leahton Park, Charters Towers.
After spending all of their lives living in the bush breeding cattle including the renowned HORSESHOE B LONGHORNS Texas Longhorn herd (established 1996), they were inspired to share what they do with visitors from throughout Australia and overseas.
Also at Leahton Park is BETHEL SADDLERY, one of the most well known custom saddle shops in Australia..
Mick and Lynda have a deep love and passion for what they do and warmly welcome visitors into their lives for an experience like no other.
