Texas Longhorn

Safari & Wagon Experiences

Texas Longhorns are the old west cattle that were the salvation of Texas back in late 1800's and as a result, the legend of the cowboy was born. Everyone has seen a cowboy or western movie and now you can see how the legend started….

See for yourself how magnificent these huge horned animals are up close. Many steers have horns spanning more than 100 inches tip-to-tip and JR, who was a former Guinness World Record Holder, is on display with horns exceeding 10 feet 4 inches or 3.15m!

You have all heard that "Everything is bigger in Texas" so get yourself to Texas Longhorn Tours and you will see that sometimes "Things are BIGGER in Queensland"

Situated on Leahton Park - a lovely family owned property just 10km from the famous gold town of Charters Towers in North Queensland, Texas Longhorn Tours is a 'must do' when visiting the area.

This is the place to visit when in Charters Towers. Tour guides are friendly and they share their knowledge and experience in a very enjoyable manner. They take pride in their property and the work they do. The animals are healthy and well taken care of. The facilities are clean and the morning tea and overall experience is one to remember...

Had an absolute great morning there. The couple who run it are soo enthusiastic about what they do & really knowable. Linda is so lovely & Mick is full of great dad jokes! Had a heap of fun learning about the different cattle & being driven around in buggies to see them, photograph them & even touch them!

The morning tea was delicious and the setting we sat to have our smoko was great. They have done a fabulous job on their property and are very professional...
