World Famous Texas Longhorn Steer – JR

In October 2011 JR was certified by Guinness World Records to have the longest horns, measured tip to tip of all cattle in the world; his horns now exceed 9’ 1” or 2.77m. JR is a seven year old steer that was bred by artificial insemination here at Leahton Park.

Cattle like this are rare and it is a privilege to be able to showcase JR along with the rest of the magnificent trophy steer herd on the award winning Texas Longhorn Wagon Tours & Safaris. Don’t miss the chance to see JR for yourself when you are travelling though Charters Towers.
